First graders participated in a project in which students had to make a farm or wild animal with recycled material. Then, students described their animals'  main characteristics and the materials they used to their classmates.

 This initiative was part of the curriculum designed for their Science Class. Some of the animals included a plastic bottle pig, egg carton turtle, or even a plastic whale. This was a fun project that kids loved to make and play with.
